Get to know the Youth Pride Chorus!

  • Youth Pride Chorus is a queer and trans centered choral ensemble for youth aged 13-21. We uplift and unite our youth through performance! Allies are also welcome.

  • Every Thursday from 4:30-7:30pm at the Center (208 W 13 St, New York, New York, 10011)

  • YPC performs at all sorts of places with all kinds of musical artists. Past performances include performing with Broadway shows like Mean Girls and Fun Home. With celebrities Kristen Chenoweth, Alex Newell, and Cyndi Lauper. Even at major venues such as The White House and Lincoln Center.

  • Nope! YPC is open to all youth aged 13-21 regardless of musical ability. A passion for singing is all that you need!

  • None! YPC is a program that is free-of-charge. All you have to do is show up and sing!

  • With YPC, you can expect a safe and welcoming community of queer youth. You can expect a place to develop your musical skills, empower your own voice, and build community with other ensemble members. YPC is so much more than just a choir.

Many of the current YPC singers had never been on stage before they joined YPC. You will have plenty of time to practice and feel confident before you have to perform, even if you have never performed before. We meet every singer where they are and encourage growth, not perfection.

  • At each rehearsal, YPC will provide you with a full meal directly before rehearsal. You will be given a metro card that covers the cost of the trip to-and-from rehearsal each week. Music is supplied at no-cost to you!
